Coeur d’Alene Wedding Engagement
Whenever I get asked to shoot an elopement or engagement shoot in Idaho, I’m hoping there’ll be a little adventure involved. There’s a beautifuul journey in adventure just like every couple has their own unique journey in love, and I love it when couples are willing to share both with me. So, when Victoria and Alex invited me to be their photographer for their adventurous Coeur d’Alene wedding engagement, I was psyched to document this season of their lives with an unforgettable experience.
Why Do A Coeur D’Alene Wedding Engagement Shoot?
Coeur d’Alene National Forest is vast, a part of our world that feels spiritual, a part of our world that connects us deeper with ourselves. Victoria and Alex had just moved to the Coeur d’Alene, Idaho area, and they wanted to celebrate their move and engagement with the surrounding scenery, which is how we ended up with the Coeur d’Alene wedding engagement shoot. It was the perfect setting– tall, thick forests, gentle paths, and waterways winding their way through. Truly, it was serene. And, as an outdoors enthusiast myself, it was so memorable connecting with an adventurous couple like Victoria & Alex exploring this wilderness.
Our Journey Together
One of the aspects of being a wedding photographer that I enjoy the most is helping couples craft this kind of experience. I love doing research on all the different landscapes we could discover together, and present several options for you to decide where to commemorate this season of your lives. So, when Victoria and Alex asked for my help to find the best place for their Coeur d’Alene wedding engagement, I knew this peaceful lakeside and forest location would be an incredible spot for them and their playful dog, Russ!
I’d like to take a moment here and dedicate a little of this blog to Russ, their precious pup. It was clear how much he meant to Victoria and Alex, so having him be a part of their Coeur d’Alene wedding engagement photo made it that much more meaningful. His energy & zoomies added such a joyful element to our adventure.
We hiked up together through the towering pines and blooming flowers covering the forest floor, ate snacks together, and took lots of moments to breathe in the beauty of their new home. Overall, this evening was a memory I won’t soon forget, in a humbling place that I’d love to return to again. Final Thoughts
I love helping couples tell a love story that holds meaning for them. This shoot couldn’t have taken place anywhere because doing it somewhere other than Coeur d’Alene would’ve meant sacrificing a part of what makes Victoria and Alex who they are.
