Signe & Chase are some of Seattle’s most kind & creative residents. They met in the restaurant business and have a beautiful bond because of their deep friendship. This intimate cabin elopement was the perfect setting to let their connection truly shine.

I love a big celebrations – the kind where everyone you love gathers close on dance floor and you’re all caught up in the same joy. Those moments are some of the truest beauties of a larger wedding. But there’s also something deeply special, about the celebration that happens in intimacy. There’s a closeness that comes when you leave celebrate with just your partner or a few family members. It’s why I’ve dedicated so much of my work to photographing elopements, and it’s what made this cabin elopement so memorable.

This Airbnb Is Perfect for a Cabin Elopement

This Airbnb in Granite Falls, WA, is a beautiful spot for a cabin elopement. Impeccably designed with luxury & aesthetics in mind, Canyon Creek Cabins have so many thoughtful details. The huge windows make you feel like you’re one with the forest. The wood-burning stove. The hot tub on the deck (perfect for honeymoon skinny dipping!) The sparkling stream running beside it as your soundtrack. All of these exquisite elements combine to make it a dream location.

One of the most moving parts of this cabin elopement was during the ceremony when Chase & Signe read lines from Chase’s childhood favorite book – “Goodnight Moon”. They stood outside with the sound of the creek behind them and the rush of the trees overhead.

Moving inside for the next part of this cabin elopement, we focused on organic details that emphasized the woods. Signe & Chase chose colorful wildflowers to contrast with the deep greens of the forest, and we strew them around their intimate dinner table in simple brown & amber bottles.

If this beautiful cabin in the woods has captured your imagination as much as it has mine, please check out my list of Pacific Northwest Wedding Venues for Nature Lovers – I think you’re going to love it!
