My love for this state is rapidly growing & I feel so excited when couples want to elope amidst all of its diverse beauty. That’s why I was so psyched when Danielle & Nick reached out to elope in Idaho and celebrate their love surrounded by the humbling, rolling hills that surround their home in Boise.

For this Desert Idaho Elopement, they wanted to enhance the landscape that encompassed them with their elopement details. Danielle wore the dreamiest boho dress by Daci Gowns. The dresses blush-over layer and cream lace details brought out the colors of the scenery around them. Additionally, Nick’s casual look complimented the sandy towns of their environment.

Even more so, Danielle’s bouquet was truly a stand-out moment. Sourced from Flower Farm Boise, this luxuriant display of dried blooms & grasses was a near-perfect tonal match to the gown & chosen elopement destination. It artfully brought everything together, creatively elevating this Idaho elopement in the way it deserved.

Elope in Idaho’s Evocative Desert Landscapes

One of the things I do for every elopement or shoot I get to photograph is location scouting. I’m passionate about helping couples find the perfect place to honor their love story. When it comes to eloping in Idaho, we’re spoiled for choice. For Danielle and Nick we found a vibrant lake surrounded by basalt bands, just 30 minutes outside of Boise.

I felt so inspired by the landscape they chose. It felt like the culmination of every alluring reason for choosing to elope in Idaho. The smell of the sagebrush, the sound of the water nearby, the dusty colored hills & lichen painted basalt bands. Every inch of beauty worked together to create an incredibly peaceful environment – A perfect setting for the exchanging of their vows.

After their ceremony, we watched the sunset illuminate the clouds with some of the most vibrant colors I’ve gotten to witness on an elopement day. It was the best way to end their outdoor celebration.
