Cookie & Blaine originally booked me for their international wedding in Portugal, but when COVID hit, they ended up getting married in a family member’s backyard instead, hoping to do a celebration abroad later on. Eventually, they decided they wanted to do a “vow renewal” in my corner of the US, the PNW, & go on an adventure to elope in Olympic National Park!

The Perfect Way to Elope in Olympic National Park

Since this was their first visit, Cookie & Blaine wanted to immerse themselves deeply in the unique scenery of the PNW, so we constructed an Olympic National Park elopement timeline that went well with that – sunset session popping champagne in the mountains to kick off celebrations, vow reading in the forest the next day, and a lakeside picnic to conclude it all.

They were already married, but this was the first time they said their personal vows to one another. It was also the first time Blaine saw Cookie in her original wedding dress. As such, it was such a tender & special occasion, and I did everything I could to give them the adventure of their dreams – including crafting a floral bouquet for Cookie as an add-on to their photography package.

The Unfolding Wonder of the PNW

I loved taking them to every unique piece of landscape that Olympic National Park has to offer. This includes the snow-capped peaks, lush forests, crystal blue lakes. The sunset on Hurricane Ridge was vividly pink, & it was so fun to watch the awe cross their faces as they beheld the changing sunshine. I encouraged them to really soak up every smell, vibrant color, and feel of the beauty around them; so they would walk away with substantial memories in this place.
