Being a mentee of Lexi’s is more than just time together. It’s a lasting friendship. She’s honestly one of the sweetest humans I have ever encountered. During our time together she taught me so much more than what settings to be on and what angle. Although she does hit on these things, she truly taught me how to create environment, cultivate moments, and capture the essence of what it means to be with people, not around people. The things I have learned from Lexi are so applicable EVERY time I have a photo shoot. Her experience, style, and pure love for people is unmatched to anyone I have ever met in the realm of photography, and I continue to look up to her as a mentor as I progress in my own work.
Our mentor session with Lexi started long before we even experienced the session. She was intentional about getting to know my fiancé and I (who I have a photo business with) as people, and as photographers. She took us under her wing and was patient to meet us where our photo skills were at. Lexi really does want others to know what she wished she knew when she started taking photos- and let us ask her absolutely anything during the session. Leaving the mentor session we could not wait for our next shoot since we learned more in those couple hours with Lexi then we did from any online workshops or courses.
